De perforatieweerstand is een maat voor het energieabsorberend vermogen van een rekwikkelfolie bij het weerstaan van een uitsteeksel. De testmethode is ontworpen om de gebruiker een middel te geven om de perforatieweerstand van de rekwikkelfolie te meten onder hoofdzakelijk biaxiale vervormingsomstandigheden.
